Linking Energy, People, and Power
The Energy Justice Law & Policy Center, or EJLPC, is an energy, environmental, and climate justice policy and advocacy center. We work with local communities to address harms caused by energy systems while catalyzing the development of clean and green infrastructure.
About EJLPC
EJLPC grew from the recognition that infrastructure decisions profoundly impact community health, economic opportunity, and environmental quality. Frontline communities have historically been excluded from these decisions while bearing the heaviest burdens of harmful energy and industrial infrastructure. EJLPC believes that communities must lead the transformation to clean, green, and sustainable systems. Our work bridges policy expertise with grassroots power to create lasting change.
What We Do
EJLPC partners with communities to transform local infrastructure and energy systems. We provide legal, policy, and technical support to communities addressing environmental injustices while developing clean and green solutions. Through research, education, and workforce development programs, we help communities build power and create economic opportunities. EJLPC builds coalitions to advance community-led projects that replace harmful infrastructure with sustainable alternatives.
